Possible Solution for Dark Square/Shadows Around Captured Prints

If you are seeing dark squares around the prints after printing to a card, this can be caused by a driver issue. Follow the steps below to check and update the current driver in-use for your printer.

  1. Ensure the printer is on and plugged into your computer. In the search bar at the lower left of your screen, type in printers and then click on Printers & Scanners from the list.

  2. Select the Lexmark printer that you are using to print cards.

  3. Click Printer properties.

  4. Click Change Properties in the lower left corner. If this is not present, can click Advanced from the tabs in the top.

  5. Click on the dropdown by Driver if it says Microsoft IPP Class Driver and select the appropriate driver for your device.

  6. Click Apply, click OK.
