Some customers that use GoDaddy/Microsoft 365 may need to enable SMTP Authentication for LiveScan submissions.
Below are the steps to follow to enable it.
Microsoft 365 from GoDaddy
Enable SMTP Authentication
SMTP Authentication is used to send email from apps, reporting servers, and multifunction devices (like printers and scanners).
NOTE: If you enabled security defaults, turning on SMTP Authentication will automatically disable those settings for your organization.
You can either continue using multi-factor authentication (MFA) with an app password or disable MFA for the user.
- Sign in to the Email & Office Dashboard (https://sso.godaddy.com/?app=productivity&realm=idp&auth_reason=1&path=/%3F)(use your GoDaddy username and password).
(USE CUSTOMER #) - Select Manage next to the user.
- Scroll down to Account information and select Advanced Settings.
- Turn on the SMTP Authentication toggle.
- Select Continue to confirm you want to enable SMTP Authentication for this user.
Florida configurations: Be sure to use the right settings. Standard settings are below.
Server Name : smtpout.secureserver.net
Server Port: 587 or 465
Type of encryption: TLS/SSL
